Perhaps today there is only one topic, thinking about which I really drive myself into depression. And this is space. It is impossible to imagine – it is so huge, so… HUGE that natural consciousness (a concept in philosophy denoting a person who thinks in ideas, that is, an ordinary person) simply gives up and retreats – it is impossible to imagine.
And every time I start to think about it, I get lost, panic, pull away and worry later. It just has a very depressing effect on me.
Today I was just talking with an old friend (note, he’s a forty-year-old physicist and mathematician, he’s a nerd ;)), they threw links at each other, talked about this topic, both fell into depression. Now I want to torture you too.
You can already see the picture, watch the video, and below are excerpts from our correspondence.
(There was a Flash player, but since 2020 Flash is not supported by browsers)
Friend
For example, you can imagine that there is no point in the universe where the Big Bang occurred?
agrippa
Now you’re forcing me to divide by zero, I’ll freeze 🙂
Friend
That is, it happened EVERYWHERE. Wherever you are, galaxies will scatter.
Friend
The trick is that the BV did not occur in three-dimensional space.
agrippa
I just can’t understand this anymore 🙂
agrippa
It’s easier for me to understand the existence of God, probably.
agrippa
Well, or at least think about it.
Friend
Just imagine a ball inflating from scratch, on the surface of which there are two-dimensional boogers.
Friend
Let’s say they ask https://siam855casino.co.uk/bonus/ themselves a question like this.
Friend
But there is no such point on the surface of the ball.
agrippa
That is, we are on the surface, not inside?
Friend
Only we are three-dimensional, and the ball is four-dimensional
agrippa
I can’t imagine four-dimensional space. It probably can only be a concept, yes?
agrippa
That is, it is not available for presentation?
agrippa
As a natural consciousness, I suffer from this 🙂
Friend
Just like two-dimensional boogers imagine a three-dimensional ball
agrippa
It’s also difficult for me to imagine how two-dimensional people imagine the world 🙂
Friend
So that by 9:00 you will be roaring
Friend
they will show our universe there
agrippa
What does a black hole suck into??
agrippa (11:25:51 01/23/2011)
What’s inside?
Friend
the small dots that make up the threads are not stars. And not even galaxies. These are clusters of galaxies
Friend
From the point of view of our world – nothing
Friend
Time doesn’t move there
agrippa
No, this video is too much for me. This is all really terrible.
And more black holes. I say, the only thing that amazes me so much and just baffles me.
agrippa
Everywhere, bitch, time moves, but there it doesn’t – but I can’t understand how this can be 🙂
And not really about science anymore:
agrippa
Space is the only topic that affects me so much. If I became an astronomer, I would be the saddest scientist in the world
agrippa
I realized that I’m the shit on the star so fifth
Friend
Have you ever seen cheerful astronomers?? I – no.
agrippa
When we got to the last one, my eyes were already filled with tears
agrippa
Google doesn’t know either
agrippa
And there are none even close
Friend
See how it turns out.
agrippa
